Locate Studs for mounting vertical uprights (use of a stud finder may make it much easier)
Use the supplied drill template to mark mounting holes. (see Fig 1).
Pre-drill (2) each 1/4" holes per vertical upright
Use 9/16" socket and wrench to secure vertical uprights to studs using 7/16" X 3" Lag screws FIG 2. (be careful to not overtighten the screws as the could cause them to shear off). SEE FIG. 2B FOR ALTERNATE MOUNTING METHOD TO SIDE OF OPEN JOISTS. FIG 2C UTILIZES STUD BRIDGE ADAPTERS FOR OFFSET INSTALLATIONS

Install vertical leg over vertical mount. Depress metal spring pins and adjust desired height. INSTALL LOCKING PIN. CAUTION - FAILURE TO SECURE THE OVERHEAD STORAGE UPRIGHTS WITH LOCKING PINS PROVIDED VOIDS ALL WARRANTIES AND COULD RESULT IN SERIOUS INJURY OR DEATH.
Add strut and strut connecters through the vertical legs and add locking pins. If installing multiple units, see fig. 4B for strut connector configuration.
Lay in platform sections and secure with (2) each locking pins per platform section.
