We’re living our best life when we place the needs of others as a priority over own. Generosity isn’t a concept reserved for those select few who are perceived to have the financial means in order to give out of their abundance, but rather it is the willingness to give out of scarcity even when you are unsure where your own future needs will come from. King Solomon taught this precept and his wisdom is legend and timeless – there is a different economy that exists for things that surpasses conventional thinking and sadly there are few who find it. The world would be a different place if we could all grasp this deep within our souls and have the courage to walk it out.

FORTIFIED PEANUT BUTTER SAVES LIVES

Without a nutritious supplement, like fortified peanut butter, children suffering from severe acute malnutrition, experience detrimental effects to their cognitive abilities, overall growth, and are not able to survive medical conditions like malaria and pneumonia.

OUR PROGRAMS
The founders established PB+J Foods Inc. to combat the deadly effects that Severe Acute Malnutrition has on children under the age of five. Our mission is to share the Gospel of Christ while meeting the nutritional and economic needs in underdeveloped communities. Our wide-ranging knowledge of Nkhoma, Malawi led us to establish our first program there in August, 2012, The Nkhoma Hospital PB+J Program.

The problem is chronic Malnutrition. The first 1,000 days of a child’s life are crucial to their full growth and brain development. Malawi, Africa has the fifth-highest stunting rate in the world with over 47% of children under the age of five who are stunted both cognitively and physically due to chronic malnutrition. Around 4% of Malawian children are severely wasted or acutely malnourished as a result of recent rapid weight loss or failure to gain weight, which is also strongly related to mortality.

OUR SOLUTION
PB+J at Nkhoma Hospital was established in August 2012. The program facilitates a 900-farmer peanut co-op, has Malawian employees operating and managing the manufacturing facility distributing cartons of ready-to-use therapeutic food (RUTF) to local outlying health centers. The program also provides nutrition education to communities and individuals to equip primary caregivers with the knowledge to prevent malnutrition, which also allows for personal interactions with an opportunity to share the Gospel.

OUR GOAL

The goal of CrossTalk Global is to “equip biblical communicators, so that every culture can hear God’s voice.” We are not a seminary and do not offer academic degrees. We provide cultures across the globe with competent practitioners who are equipped to provide the biblical communication so desperately needed.

Every profession has highly specialized experts. Medical schools train neurosurgeons and seminaries produce theologians. But this is not our goal. CrossTalk equips ministry “medics”, not theological “neurosurgeons”. Like medical “medics”, CrossTalk graduates minister on the front lines and touch many lives. They introduce people to the God who loves them and help them to understand what God is saying to them in the Bible.

While the church will always need theological “neurosurgeons”, CrossTalk-trained “medics” fill a vital need. As the kingdom of God advances across the globe, the need for effective biblical communicators increases. CrossTalk helps meet that need. We equip ministry “medics”.

PHILOSOPHY

We may be small but we are a very effective organization that is fully committed to helping the people of Sumba prosper while preserving and respecting the cultural traditions of its people.

Our aid plan is based on 30 years of firsthand knowledge of the island and its people. In those years, we have closely observed the way of life of the Sumbanese and we have consulted with them about their most urgent needs and aspirations. We have also gathered information from anthropologists, foreign volunteers, aid workers, and the government to formulate the way forward.

Our aid philosophy is to help the people help themselves; we do not believe in giving ongoing handouts or spending large sums of money to solve problems. The Sumba Foundation understands that small projects that are well managed and cost efficient bring the best results. We feel that each and every one of us has a responsibility to better use our position and resources to help people living in poverty realize their needs and vision of a better world.

It is not simply about sharing our resources with others in need, but perhaps more importantly, it is about getting involved in the world around us with the goal of gaining a new perspective.

The Sumba Foundation’s work is rooted in the knowledge that the most effective actions must come from within the context of our own lives and hearts. As members of the human family, each of us is responsible and all of us are accountable.

The work of the Sumba Foundation aligns with many Millennium Development Goals set by the United Nations.

WHO WE ARE

Our mission is to deliver hope to suffering children by equipping local churches for gospel-centered mercy ministry.

Children’s Hunger Fund was established in 1991 by president and founder Dave Phillips. Since then, CHF has worked in the US and around the world to elevate the local church, equipping and positioning church leaders and volunteers to reach suffering children and families in their communities by delivering food and hope found in the gospel of Christ.

THE PROBLEM

More than ten percent of the world population lives in extreme poverty (less than $1.90 per day). Most lack access to one or more basic human needs: sufficient food, safe drinking water, or adequate shelter.

Combating poverty and food insecurity demands more than simple charity. While nutritious food provides temporary relief of physical hunger, the life-giving truth of the gospel provides eternal hope and relief from spiritual poverty.

WHO WE ARE

Founded in Long Beach, CA in 1969. Our mission in the Name of Jesus is to and has been to work with the NOBODIES that nobody else wants to deal with. We are learning better and better how to respect--no matter the damage of the past; listen to--no matter how damaged their collective thoughts are; walk with them for a few steps; no matter how scary that might be.

• To bring the Light and Love of Jesus Christ to the NOBODIES.
• To tell and remind the NOBODIES how incredibly important they are to the Creator God of the Universe.
• To teach the Nobodies that Jesus, Son of the Creator God of the Universe, will give them a Mission in His Name that will consume them for the rest of their lives.
• To remind the Nobodies that no matter their past nor lack or current educational background the Spirit of Jesus will guide them in obtaining the skills for their Jesus Mission--guide them to others on their Jesus Missions that they can walk with--encourage each other--and know they are members of God's Family on earth.

We meet at the 9th St Jesus Corner Church, 850 Atlantic, Long Beach each Thursday morning for breakfast encouraging Jesus Word; and each Sunday evening for supper and encouraging Jesus Word.

NOT EVERYONE WANTS A SOLUTION
Millions of tax dollars poured over the home-less situation. More and more layers of folk to administer the monies, but more and more poor and hurting people pitch tents in more and more supposedly hidden places. Every week at our Basement Gatherings, there are new folk. Many come from afar because they have heard ICM talk about ‘Solutions’— ‘Jesus Solutions’. Some laugh at this and some folk even call us “The Enemy,” because they think we are naive to believe that some might want to change their way of thinking; and be-lieve that there is a Creator God of the Uni-verse who is capable of entering into a personal relationship with crazy folk.
